Ariel Bart and Omri Bar Giora
Ariel Bart and Omri Bar Giora have known each other since the age of 12, they share a deep musical and personal bond. During Covid, they started working on their duo project, creating special arrangements of their original compositions for harmonica and guitar. Their collective playing is defined by a warm, intimate and yet innovative sound, one which challenges the creative boundaries of a harmonica and guitar duo. ‘Deep Down’, their debut duo album, was released in May of 2024.
Ariel Bart – harmonica player and composer. She has performed and recorded with some of the best musicians in Israel and New York: William Parker, Miki Gavrielov, Atraf, David D’Or and as a soloist in the Jerusalem Orchestra East & West. Her debut album ‘In Between’ came out in Spring of 2021 to warm reviews. In Fall of 2022 she released her second album ‘Documentaries’. Both albums were released under Ropeadope Records. Bart holds a BFA in Jazz/Contemporary Music from the New School (NYC).
Omri Bar Giora is a versatile guitarist and composer with a unique sound, combining stylistic influences from all around the globe. Bar Giora worked with some of the finest musicians in Israel and NYC, including legendary bassist Reggie Workman, Matt Wilson, Steve Cardenas, Daniel Zamir and many more. He independently released several singles and his debut EP ‘Song for Miki’. His guitar playing (as well as drums, piano and vocals) as a sideman can be heard on a wide range of albums and projects. Bar Giora holds a BFA in Jazz/Contemporary Music from the New School (NYC), from which he graduated with honors in May of 2023.
