Ecoute

The Jerusalem Ecoute Ensemble has been engaged in contemporary Eastern music for over a decade. They have released five albums and perform across the country on various stages.

The musical style, like the lyrics, is not traditional and classical, but draws its inspiration from these worlds. The melodies are heavily influenced by classical Arabic music, North African music and genres of extensive compositions such as Nuba/Wasl, which attempt to create a musical sequence with an element of progression and development from song to song. In the new show, they will play new material alongside pieces from their latest albums.
