Elegy- Jerusalem Street Orchestra
13.05
Tuesday
21:00
We invite you to the second performance in the chamber trilogy of the Jerusalem Street Orchestra.
In the second concert, we chose to focus on elegy and longing, examining them from several perspectives: we will play the work of the young Rachmaninoff, who used the elegiac trio as a tribute to Tchaikovsky, his object of admiration; we will dive into the touching and emotional world of Gabriel Fauré; and we will conclude with Shostakovich’s chilling trio, within whose notes lie the horrors and fears of World War II.
Program:
♮ Gabriel Fauré – Elegy for Cello and Piano
♮ Sergei Rachmaninoff – Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G minor
♮ Dmitri Shostakovich – Trio No. 2 in E minor
Barak Shoseberger – Violin
Talia Erdal – Cello
Tina Ronkin – Piano
Price: 50-60 ש״ח
