Singer-songwriter Zohar Shafir AKA Nico Teen, has been creating spellbinding witch-pop for over two decades. She performs with her new trio, featuring Aviv Ezra (Radio Baghdad, The Hallways) on digital drums and Shahar Yahalom on bass and backing vocals. The trio’s arrangements bring out new rhythmic and harmonic shades, revealing mesmerizing musical layers hidden within Shafir’s songs.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Mazkeka. Given the difficult year we have all endured and are still enduring, calling this event a "celebration" seems excessive. Instead, we invite you to focus on "deep listening." We still believe in the necessity of culture and live music as vital as air to breathe.
The lineup aims to reflect the reality we live in—between friction and solace, pain and healing. This year's Zikuk Festival spans five days, exploring all forms of artistic music —from traditional to experimental, jazz to folk, noise to electronic, lyrics to rhythm.
