Ecoute Ensemble – Small Acts

Ecoute is a music ensemble working in Jerusalem for the last ten years and playing  contemporary original Mizrachi music in Hebrew. The songs in the new album are requests, apologies and wishes that occupy us right here and now- modern and rellevant Prayers.

The musical structure draws inspiration from Eastern classical forms for the songs of the Golden Age (Arabic Wasla, Andalusian Nuba), which offer a concept of gradation: a whole sequence that gradually increases rhythmically
