Mystery, love songs, and ecstasy in mystical music from Iran. Music that is passing from one breath to another, in a culture of initiation that has existed for hundreds of years.

Poetry, much of which was written in Persia in the 12th-13th century, by poets such as Hafez, Saadi, Attar, and Jalal ad-Din Rumi.

Like the wandering poets who traveled from village to village in Central Asia and were called ‘Ashiks’ (the lovers), Nitai Kalay, Yaron Cherniak, and Yoni Ben-Dor come with tar, singing, and tombak to sing ancient Persian songs from the Sufi tradition, to play and tell stories. A central Asian celebration, singing that expands consciousness and the heart. Nitai Kalay, Yoni Ben-Dor, and Yaron Cherniak share a deep and obsessive love for the Persian language, martial arts, tea ceremonies, and nature. In addition, they are students and teachers of traditional Iranian music and have spent years studying it from Iranian masters living in Europe and America.
